3E Method Youth Fitness Classes!

September 9, 2026 | Dixon Troyer

What do kids actually do in our fitness classes? Here’s a hint: They’re not walking on treadmills staring at a TV. They’re having fun!

One of the first questions parents ask us is: “What will my kid actually be doing?” Great question. The answer? A little bit of everything—and that’s exactly the point! Our kids run, jump, climb, crawl, lift, carry, throw, balance, sweat, laugh, and occasionally discover muscles they didn’t know existed. We’re helping them become stronger, fitter, more coordinated, and more confident in what their bodies can do. And we want them to have a good time doing it.

Kids Will Start with the Basics

You don't need complicated machines. In fact, one of the best pieces of fitness equipment a kid owns is their own body. Push-ups. Squats. Crawling. Jumping. Pulling. Carrying. These basic movements teach kids how to control their bodies before we start adding resistance such as kettlebells and D-balls. And kids LOVE both. There’s something incredibly satisfying about picking up a big, awkward ball, carrying it across the gym, and slamming it into the floor. To a kid, it’s fun. To us coaches, we see something else: legs, hips, core, arms, and coordination all working together. They think they're playing. We know they're training.

Cardio Without the Boring Part

Tell a 10-year-old you're going to put them on a treadmill for 30 minutes and watch the excitement drain from their face. That's not our idea of fitness. Our cardio involves running, jumping, crawling, carrying, and games that get their hearts pumping. They work hard, catch their breath, and go again.

Great for Young Athletes

If your child plays soccer, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball—or any other sport—our classes are a fantastic cross-training complement to their regular training, especially during the off-season. Instead of repeating the same sport-specific movements all year, kids get an opportunity to develop overall strength, conditioning, balance, coordination, and athleticism. The goal is simple: Go back to their sport stronger, fitter, and better prepared than when they left.

And You DON'T Have to Be an Athlete Either

This is one of our favorite things about the program. Some kids walk through our doors already loving sports. Others want absolutely nothing to do with them. Both belong here. There’s no bench. Nobody gets cut from the team. And you don't have to score a goal, hit a ball, or outrun everybody else to succeed. The competition is mostly with the person you were last week! Maybe you do one more push-up. Carry a heavier D-ball or kettlebell. Run a little farther. Or finally nail your first pull-up! Those little victories add up. And sometimes the kid who didn't think they were “athletic” starts realizing: “Hey...I'm actually pretty good at this.”

Kids Work Harder When They're Having Fun

There's another ingredient we think matters: Other kids. Our classes are group-based because kids feed off each other's energy. They laugh. They compete a little. They encourage somebody who's struggling. And when one kid decides they're going to give it one more try, somebody else usually does too.

Our coaches are there to teach proper technique, keep things safe, challenge each child appropriately—and make sure working hard doesn't stop being fun. We want kids to discover that being active feels good. Being strong feels good. Accomplishing something difficult feels REALLY good. And if we can help create that relationship with fitness while they're young, that's something they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Come Let Your Kid Give It a Try

The easiest way to understand a 3E Method Warrior Kids Fitness class is to experience one. Ages for the classes are 8-13. Let your child run, climb, lift, jump, and have some fun with us. Don't be surprised if getting them to leave is the harder part.
